Walk Bike Burbank (WBB) began as a small group of interested cyclists who saw a proposed section of new bike path no longer moving forward through the approval process in city government.
We brought together other interested cyclists and people who enjoy walking outdoors and started canvassing the neighborhood around the bike path, asking residents to support the project and let City Council members know how they felt.
We partnered with another community group to help build support for the project, keeping all aware of upcoming votes regarding the project. Construction of the Burbank Channel Bike Path was completed in February 2021.
